Scientific Name: Cuapetes tenuipes
 Common Name: Glass shrimp
 Size: 1.5 – 2.5 cm
 Depth Range: 3 – 30 m
Habitat: Found on soft corals, sponges, and sometimes in the open near reef crevices; often clings to gorgonians or among anemone tentacles
Diet: Feeds on plankton and small organic particles
Reproduction: Separate sexes; females brood eggs beneath the abdomen until hatching
Fun Fact: Its body is nearly transparent—so much so that internal organs are visible—making it a master of stealth on the reef.
Observation Tip: Look closely at coral branches or sponge surfaces. Their movement may give them away before their body does!
